I've had this fiddle for about ten years now. I originally bought it with an eye to reselling it, but fell in love with its tone and decided to hang onto it as a backup to my main instrument. Times being what they are, I find myself in need of some cash and I've decided to sell it after all.
EJ Albert was a Philadelphia violin maker who would also import German instruments, improve them, and resell them, which is what was done with this instrument. However, this is not "Star Violins" instruments that he would later import and resell without making improvements.
