Give me your Hand
An old tune from O’Neill’s music of Ireland
I’m playing in the key of G, in three quarter time
(I may have gone a little overboard on chords, I just couldn’t help myself)

Love it! I play that tune a few time a week, very hummable so it stays in my wheelhouse.
I like the chords. Is that you playing or a strum machine or some such thing?

Thanks Peggy, Snafu and Scratch. I’m using Strum Machine for the backup. This tune is not on the index pages of Strum but you can create your own and save it yourself. It helps to have a little experience with guitar to also play Strum. I played rhythm guitar for many years, but the calluses and cold weather finally changed my mind. (cept the pain never did go away) Anyway, the chords I’m using are G C D Am Bm Em and that one little place for an F. I have seen some sheet music with lyrics chorded with just G C and D.

I play this one on English Concertina...fiddle too, but I do like it on the squeeze box, I think we would make a pretty good go of it if we played it together.
Also a Randy

We have the best name! I wish we could get together and play it, it would be my pleasure. I don’t know if I could play in person with such a pro though. I would like to hear you play it.
If you like, I will post the mp3 of the strum track I made. On its own, it doesn’t sound like much, but when you add the melody, it comes together.

Thanks for sharing!
One of my favorite tunes.
I really like the chords you figured out!

Thanks NC, one of my favorites too. All those chords would probably be a guitar players nightmare.
