Hi, John. No, the little "silent" fiddle helped get me to the point where I was (perhaps shamelessly) far less concerned about the impact I might have on the universe by drawing a bow across the strings. I was able to figure out how to hold a fiddle, and so forth - without having to actually buy one, and thus become involved in a strategic blunder of enormous consequence. Well, to be frank, by continuing to try my hand at fiddling, I may have done precisely that, but at least now when I pull out a fiddle, it sort of sounds like a sound and not a heart piercing moment of anguish. Have a great run up to the holidays, Doryman.
