There is a wealth of good fiddling info out there, but this simple lesson really impressed me as a nice way to understand some general (and pretty easy) techniques that can be used in lots of tunes to give a person a “fiddle” sound. Yes, he’s teaching Golden Slippers, but not a strict note-by-note lesson. Instead, he shows different ways to approach the melody and different techniques such as slides and double stops to dress up the tune a bit. Very nice!
