Definitely worth the $6 (well, $5.99 at Southwest Strings) if you have Wittner Finetune Pegs. I have several winders for guitar and mandolin, but nothing fit the Wittners. The winder has a nice firm grip on the pegs. I don’t HAVE to have a peg winder, but the 8:1 tuning ration makes a winder a nice option.

I keep one for violin and one for cello at my bench. I change a lot of strings on Wittner pegs for customers, so the tool comes in very handy.
