There's just too much good music out there waiting for us...and not enough clock to give us a fair shot!

Yeah, but I guess it's okay by me. Plus, who wants to have gone through all the good stuff, and find that the only stuff left is the slightly worse stuff?

Good point, plus if we make lemonade from the lemons, won't be any sour notes.

Fun to contemplate. There could be just as much music yet to be played, than what has been.

Worst part is after you've played em' all you can start all over again in different keys, tunings and variations.

I'd say that no matter how many notes you change or how many variations you play, if it is recognizable as a particular tune then it is Not a new tune.. However just for fun, one is allowed to take a tune that is recognizable and just give it two or three new Names.. you know, the Old TIme way!!!

During the lockdown, changing keys on a tune has become a passion!!!  Next time someone doesn't want to play in "C".. not problem.. I'll just play that C tune in G, D, or F or A!!!!

Reminds me of the Irish writer I heard on the radio, who told of introducing his American wife to Irish culture: they were at a pub, and a heated political argument was going on at the next table - then a big man jumped up and slammed his glass down on the table, saying, "Well, that's my opinion! And if you don't like it - I'll change it!"
