Well, here's my first try...good ol' Dillards (aka the 'Darlings') song with my buddies
This is using a tiny Sony UX570 recorder I got for Christmas, so it is not real good at picking up how bad my singing really is...
Also, we didn't run over the song but once, so there's buffoonery and mistakes--me and the mandolin get confused over whose turn it was and step on each other
Maybe I'll slick up a fiddle tune and shine my tail solo later...IDK, I'm pretty bashful

Sounds good to me! I love that tune...love the Dillards, love Andy, Barney, Opie and Aunt Bee. Thanks for playing it...sounds good and one of my favorites. I enjoyed listening. Good mando, guitar and fiddle...nice singing too. Awww, Paw...that 'un makes me cry!

That’s a good old tune and your fiddle sounds good too. Even the recorder sounds impressive. I like it, post more stuff.

This reminds me of the dark country playlists on YouTube I like to go through when I have to work in my house.
I love this so much!
Thank you for sharing!

Sounds great! This is one I've been wanting to learn. I heard it first on Andy Griffith but I've also found that Alan Jackson did a really good version on one of his bluegrass albums.

Thanks for the kind words, and to Randy for the tutorial of how to post mp3. I had to LOL at Peggy's reference(s):
Briscoe Darling: "How bout 'Don't Hit Your Grandma With a Great Big Stick?' "
Charlene: "No, Pa, that one makes me cry!"
Briscoe: "Well, just try to control yourself...a-one, a-two, a-one, a-two..."
I'm surprised at this little recorder gizmo. Wife got it for me so I could sing along with myself in the truck and memorize the lyrics to all our songs. It's not hi-fi, but it picks up the whole room good enough.
