I have heard a lot of praise for Stentor violins. I was looking to buy a new Stentor violin. I read a lot of reviews on the internet. But, I was shocked to see there is so much this brand has to offer.

At the end of the article, they are saying that Stentor 1550 is the best buy. Shall I go for it? Cause it's a little costly, so will be able to invest only once.

The large part of any instrument purchase is intent. What do you want to play? How far do you want to "go" with it? What do you want to sound like? It is never known if an instrument will suit you until you have played it. A violin setup is not necessarily a fiddle setup. A good well balanced and "lively" bow is important to any violin / fiddle endeavor. Yes a quality student grade instrument will be a good place to start. This does appear to be one. Look into Eastman and Gliga "starter kits". For some comparative information and costs. Good luck and happy fiddling. R/

I think eastman is better than stentor, also I find good student instrumnts as Far East Fenice, I don't know if they are available only here in europe...,
