Thought someone might be curious about what a fiddle with octave strings sounds like.

A Chin Cello!
Sounds good. Any alterations required to the bridge? Need a viola (heavier) bow?
Thanks for sharing.

Well, it was an accident that turned out well. I accidently bought them on amazon thinking I was buying some medium D'Addario Helicore strings that I had purchased before. I was looking at items I had purchased before and the packaging looks exactly the same. I wasn't paying attention. I was pretty bummed out because I already opened them and wasn't sure I could send them back. So I put them on this Stainer copy that I used for cross tuning. It was loud and trebly compared to my other fiddle. Really like the sound now.
I didn't do anything to the set up thinking I was probably not going to keep them. They seem to work fine as is but I can see the E string digging into the bridge a little ( didn't have one of those plastic sleeves ) and I think the extra pressure may warp the bridge so I may have to go with a new bridge eventually.

Wow, I thought tuning my fiddle to FCFC made it growl. Whatever you did to yours has made it sound ferocious! Nice, and you did Amelia proud too.
