Happy New Years!

This year I resolve to:

- Gain 20 pounds
- Blow more money
- Get more disorganized

There...success, finally!

I'm expecting better things this year.

2020 set the bar pretty low, so it ought to be pretty easy.

Let's not take the scenic route around the sun this time! Need something a little less exciting.

Whoa! You mean the sun doesn't go around the Earth?

I was worried the sun wasn't going to return about two weeks ago because I forgot to sacrifice one of the livestock. But I got up the next day and the sky was cold and grey. It wasn't dark like night though and I found that a chicken must have gotten loose the day before as there were feathers everywhere and we were short one chicken.

Looks like there was a sacrifice after all. The long nights are on the way out.

Sorry for your loss Billy.
Indeed, better/longer days ahead!

Sorry you're short a chicken. Was it a fox, raccoon, or what?

Light, or dark of the moon?  And, too, did you eat your Collards and Hoppin John on the New Years?  I did, simmered WITH DOLLOPS of bacon grease and ham hock.  boy was it goooo-oooo-ooood (typed in best Cousin Eddie phonetic).

edit to change--'in dollops' to 'with dollops'--original text would cause a back-up in more ways than one
