I think the fiddle-l is still active. Not very active, though. Seems that Facebook groups are the biggest online presence for traditional fiddle music.

I been on the fiddle and alternative strings forum since mar. 2004.
Kinda slow, but some good folks.
Twas the place where i met, the late, Dale "ByGod" Hopkins. The originator of Fiddle Hell. We used to talk on the phone as much as we posted, back in the day.
