I played “Booth Shot Lincoln” for several years in A standard, but recently started fooling around with cross tunings. Groundhog Peggy got me started fooling around with a low FCFC tuning which I really enjoy using on a poor ole’ junker I picked up last summer for 25 bucks and put back in service last winter. The thing sounds like crap tuned up in standard, but I really like the low, growly sound it makes with that low range F tuning. Well, after all the recent chatter about high tech stuff like reverb, wah-wah, room size, which I kinda feel is totally out of place with fiddle music here’s my humble attempt at Booth in the key of F.
OK, I know, a wiz bang Personus box has no business being used with a fiddle either. Come to think of it, an old retired veterinarian like me has no buisness messing around with either a fiddle or a Personus box.

Very nice, Rich! Sounds great low and growling with only whatever sound sustain is in the room...i.e., no reverb! Yes, I think all retired veterinarians should play the fiddle! Nice fiddling!
