Selling my favorite fiddle. Hard times and no money for beer and such, etc.

Here are its sounds:

I don't have the money nor the talent, but that is some kick a** fiddle playing.

Sold. I emailed David Bragger, my teacher and the best old-time fiddler living today, thinking he might know someone who needed this fiddle. Turns out he knowed himself!
Whatever skill is evident in those tracks above is due largely to him. I am honored for him to have this box.

Well, that's good I guess, but it still seems sad. Oh well, life goes on, for both you and the fiddle

Thats right. The fiddle is inside of us, the instrument itself is just a tool to get it out.

Justin, I hope you have another one; it would be a shame to have beer and no fiddle to enjoy it with.
Also, good to hear you are still out there. I've missed your contributions. Are you still in the liquor business when this covid19 business is over?

I'm still making a little bit of whiskey, about 4 barrels a week, or appx 30% of my regular production. Also making hand sanitizer, for both sale and donation. We all took reduced pay rather than lay anyone off. ASW Distillery will weather this storm, although I don't think a lot of small distilleries will.
I have more free time than usual these days, maybe I'll find some time to post here now. I been working on getting Jim Bowles' Ida Red perfect the last few weeks.

I was struck by the sound clips of the Horner fiddle and certainly Justin brought the best out. For anyone who has owned a Horner fiddle are the qualities on the sound clips above typical....allowing that fiddles by the same make can be a bit diffrent
