I just heard of these things and am wondering it one would be right for me.
I can't read sheet music, but have always learned by a mix of ear and fiddle tab. Has anybody downloaded one of these apps where you photograph a page of sheet music with your phone's camera, and the app plays it back in audible music?
How did it work for you? Is it expensive?

I'm confused. Are these tunes that you can't find recordings of? Just wondering why you would want to listen to some midi type playback vs. someone actually playing the tune?

The App PlayScore will take a photo of sheet music and play it back. I've used it to figure out tricky rhythms on music that is printed, say, in Fiddler magazine. I rarely use it, but found it useful when I was stumped.
