An archived post was asking about what happened to the Split Rock River Rats, an old time and bluegrass band from New Paltz, NY. I founded the band with Al Mueller, the fiddler c.1973. We played often at Smitty's, a bluegrass bar adjacent to the Mohonk trust. Split Rock is behind the building. Four of the five members are still alive and well. Greg Corson, the harmonica player passed in 1981. Al Mueller and Bob Feltman (bass) live in NYC. Al still plays fiddle and button accordian in the Brigands, a pirate band. Ed Diaz (guitar) and I live in Seattle.
