This tune was learned from a Kenny Baker album. I think Kenny says on the liner notes that he got it from Doug Dillard (Doug's dad played it).

The song is also on John Hartford's Hamilton Ironworks album. I don't have the album with me to check this, but I recall that the story that John Hartford gave about that song also featured Doug Dillard and his dad.
