I've been playing around with new software.
musicianspracticeedge.com/
I wanted to find something to use for videos, that would be similar to mTrax. Something that would change tempo (without changing pitch), change pitch (without changing tempo), zoom, cut sections and loop, repeat loop as many times as I like.
This program also lets you create practice loops that will increase tempo, and even change keys each round (per your setup). Cool if you want to have a backing track that changes keys while you improvise - or practice scales.
And it automatically saves all of those changes so they are applied next time I play that video.
It will work with most all the popular formats, with "promises" to include other formats in the future.
And for folks who use "Truefire" lesson plans there is a feature that sets up lesson plans for you. I'm not sure what all of that means - but someone might know and can use it.
The program costs $30, pay once with free upgrades for life. But if you only want to use the audio (no video) - the trail version is free. And after the trail version expires, the video features are disabled, but the audio will still work.
I would like it more if it let you edit videos (remove the talk, etc)... maybe future versions.
Another product called Video Surgeon will also let you edit and save your videos. But it costs about $130. Not sure about all the other features. I might decide one day... that I need those features.
Right now - I'm real pleased with what this program will do. ...and I thought it would be good to share the information.

Looks interesting, like something in between Amazing Slowdowner and Transcribe.
