my computer crashed last week [fried hard drive resulting in the loss of everything...including a software programme that i paid 20 bucks for....about 7 years ago....which worked perfectly downloading music from utube.....i'd love to upload it but be damned if i can remember the name of the programme.....and i can not find it on google as i search for something that might spark my memory...approaching 84 it requires a lot of sparking!!!! On the premise that it is gone forever...can someone recommend a programme that is reasonably secure,' AND does'nt come with pop ups etc.
You run a plug from your headphone output on the computer to the microphone input (they are usually side by side on the computer rear panel). Then find the YouTube site you want, start the Audacity software, click the recording function and then click the YouTube play button. Once you have the audio track recorded you can export in MP3 audio format and save it to the computer, burn it to CD, whatever. I also use the analysis feature for plate tuning on fiddle builds.
