This is a wonderful old Civil War tune sometimes called Rally Round the Flag.

I am using a newly reset up 2003 J.W Green Fiddle (the one with the Smoky Mtn Red Spruce that I named Opal after the Hurracane that brought the 450 year old tree to the ground)
Opal has a dark and fuzzy sound which I think brings a color of tone needed for a piece such as this one.

wow thats awesome ! i love civil war tunes.....i remember back when i used to be a reenactor, back in high school and for a few years after...we'd be out for a weekend, and at night like on the other side of the camp.....two people were playin, fiddle and guitar, just like this....and it just traveled across the camp....was very cool
