I just got done with a somewhat poor take on Lord Gordon's Reel. At least the first two parts. Seems like every time I play with a recorder on everything goes wrong. Even so, it's not too bad, if you factor out a couple of string crossings, intonation, and a timing issue or two.

Good job feller. I know exactly what you mean about recording yourself playing. Sometimes it's best to just step away from the recorder and try again the next day.

Oh yeah, I'm with you. I'm doing just great, and think, "Well, now I can finally record this!" But as soon as I know it's running, I'm all thumbs, bouncing my bow, and scratching on a nearby open strings. If you figure out how to get past that, let me know!

Lately, I have been just letting the thing run, and staring over. It takes a little of the pressure off for me. I'm a spaz.

Always Most sincerely yours,

David Loudenback

if you want to hear the wheels fall off my wagon, just push the record button. Seems like it was better back when there was tape, and you could let it roll. With a harddrive, i always feel rushed. One time a friend asked me to record a tune he wanted to learn. He said, "Just give me an idea, it doesn't have to be prefect." Well it wasn't perfect, but it gave me the idea that perfection is over-rated. If you have the three tees, it's gonna be tolerable.
