Sound

For a 1/8 violin, it sounded okay for my daughter to use.

Setup

The chin rest ended up hurting my daughter, so Cindy at the Pickin Porch changed it out for me for free. Make sure a chin rest does not bother a child before buying them a violin. The rest of the set up was good.

Reliability

The fiddle was dropped about 20 times by my kids and it has done fine. However, the stock bow was junk and began falling apart immediately. I still can't figure out why three hairs fall off of it per month. It has been a slow decay. The fiddle has always tuned easy and stayed in tune.
