I know this is not fiddle, but it is traditional music(I think).  I find this absolutely mesmerizing, even though I don't understand a single word.

wonderfully amazing... maybe we should take 2 strings off of our banjos, and call it a qinqin.

folk music is magic in any language or culture.

That was super cool! In the song, it was fun to see the little smile on the lady's face when he first player that slick triplet run. The instrumental seemed very doable and naturally phrased for dancing. Thanks for sharing this discovery.

That instrument is featured in the recent animated film Kubo and the Two Strings, which was up for an Oscar. It's a very cool-looking movie. My three-year-old kept calling it a banjo.

Yes, the instrument would be called banjo in English. In Mandarin, it is called sanxian.
