Here's a quick recording from tonight's practice/jam with me on fiddle and Josh Orkin on guitar doing one of my favorite Clyde Davenport tunes, Flatwoods.  I love how the A section almost feels like liquid, the notes just flowing around, such smooth bowing... Nice one, Davenport! ​Hope you guys like it! Hey Nick.  Great tune and great job.  Very smooth.  I like I'll give it a try too.  One question and I mean this in the most respectful way.  How do you play with that long beard?  I find that after only 5-6 days of stubble, my chin hairs get caught on or around the chin rest and ouch!

Thanks guys and gals!  I really appreciate the kind words! Hard to do Clyde's tunes justice, he's got such a wonderful tone to his playing.  

Chirps: Ya know, I don't think I have tried this one in GDAD yet, I'll have to give that a shot.  Playing a high D unison in that B section would sound really cool, thanks for the tip!

Max: Yeah that 5 note slur is a biggun! The whole A section is more slurry than a Minnesota winter (wah wah waaaah) 

Stew: My fine tuners love to eat my beard, I have to pull it out of the way when I wanna tune or I'm askin for trouble!
