The title may seem funny to you, a 'pitchfork' is a nickname for a country farmer, like a 'hayseed'
This tune was one that was very popular with people who I learned about the music from, Paddy Reynold's claimed it was the 'finest' and I borrrow some variations from another New York Irish American fiddler: Tony DeMarco.
