WTTW, channel 11 in Chicago, is going to broadcast an encore presentation of The Hayloft Gang: The Story of the National Barn Dance on Thursday, August 02, at 8:00 PM.

I worked on this documentary as music supervisor (and played some fiddle for the soundtrack).  I'm quite proud of this film, and thank Steve Parry for being such a conscientious and hardworking documentarian.  It will take years for it to be released on DVD, so this is a rare chance for you to see this film about a local country music radio show that was once the biggest in the nation.

Beyond Chicago, ask your local PBS station to schedule a broadcast.  It will be available on the PBS satellite for another year or so.

Just a quick heads-up in case anyone's interested.

There's a fundraising project in the works to bring this documentary to DVD. Two days to go and they're just short of the current goal.

I live in Chicago, and knew absolutely nothing about the National Barn Dance until I saw this doc on PBS.
