Yes or should I wait for a Better one on ebay or craigslist? Iam the kind of person that does alot of research and for Violins under $500 this seems to be the best anyone agree? The thing is you cant find them used. I checked all over and no luck. so I guess I have to sweet talk the wife into loaning me the $100 bucks I need and get the G2.

Many choices.  Eastman VL80.  Luger CV500.  West Coast Rosalia.

A key is a very careful setup.  I have not seen a $100 violin that's received the $125 worth of setup work they all need.

Have fun.

If this review is any indication, setup shouldn't be a problem with the Ricard Bunnel G2:

Hi Jimmy,

I don't know if you have clicked on the Kennedy Violins link on the sidebar on the homepage, but there is a special page with special deals for FHO members including custom set-up options and a coupon code. http://www.kennedyviolins.com/fiddlehangout/

Good luck!

I think I paid just under $200 for my G2 about a year ago. I think it's a great buy. I have since upgraded the bridge (Despiau), strings (Pro Arte) and tailpiece (Wittner integrated), but it comes ready to roll. I don't think you can go wrong for the price, and I don't think I've ever seen a bad review of one. Although I now play an old German fiddle that I paid considerably more for, I still enjoy the Bunel and will continue to play it. I think it's an excellent starter violin that you can continue to play for some time... Good luck!
