And actually the other photos don't seem to be loading either-

Firefox running on Linux and Opera running on Linux both show the same problem, and I can see the pics via Google, so I'm pretty sure it's a website problem. There were a few exceptions, oddly enough.

I think this is spam because:

1) Why would it be posted if it weren't still for sale?;

2) I have five items in the classifieds. They didn't even bother to specific which one they were referring to;

3) Why is how long I have own(-ed) it relevent?;

4) Why are they asking for photos of "the item" when I have four photos on the ad, and a link to a whole webpage of photos;

5) In "other" to reach me? How about "in order" to reach me?

This is clearly a form letter, sent out randomly to anyone with an "item" to sell online, by a scammer who's first language is not English.

i have tried every thing to get into chat. my puter went bonkers a month ago and had to renew...but i followed all the faq/help/java stuff and can't get on. It looks like its working but the chat page does not show up.

I have tried it both firefox and internet explorer...both at the latest version.

i just don't get it.

No FHO avatars in Chrome

Wanna know how bad cabin fever is around here? I've been working on computer problems, something I hate more than most anything. I actually accomplished something yesterday. I got Google Chrome working so I don't have to use ever-more-sluggish Firefox as a browser. Found my exact problem listed on a support forum, which is not unusual, and a solution, which is highly unusual (for me, anyway). I could never get Chrome to work in the past until I downloaded an uninstaller from Norton to get rid of my unused Norton security software. I couldn't believe it actually worked.

So I have my brand new ultraslick Chrome working good except that the avatar icons don't show up next to posts in FHO. These are the only images I've found that don't work. In Firefox if a page didn't display images you could uncheck an "Images Blocked" box under "Page Info" and it would work. Haven't found anything equivalent in Chrome. My OS is Windows Vista.

If anybody knows what to do please let me know, but don't spend a lot of time on it. Get off that stupid computer and do some fiddling.

Why are my threads always moved out of "Playing Advice" when so many others, clearly off topic ones, are not.

2012 Camps, Finding an Instructor, New Memeber Intros, String Suggestions, Loosing the WOOF not moved.

I think many folks consider the "Playing Advice" has the General forum.

I don't mind mine being moved as long as the rules are consistent. Which they are not, they seem rather random.

ABC files in TAB Archive are inacessible. Please fix.

Multiple copies fo photos I've only uploaded once

Just wondering -- I've had this happen with every photo I've uploaded. I uploaded a pic of my viola -- one pic. It got replicated five times in my photo album.

I just uploaded three pics of my pochette ... again, they each got replicated once so that I now have six identical pictures in my Pochette album.

What's up with the photo upload ... ? Does it barf with certain browsers or something?

MP3 Download Problems

No matter what I do, when I try to download a tune from the archives, it will only load into QuickTime Player. I deleted it from my computer and reset preferences to Media Player. I prefer Media Player and can't get it into Media player. Having it there allows me to use the built-in speed adjustment and to transfer to a thumb drive which goes in my truck stereo as a means to getting the tune into my brain.

Hello Eric:

I'm not certain if things have always been this way, but since acquiring an Android based Galaxy tablet, I have to say how thankful that I am that at least the "Quick Reply" box at the bottom of a thread has a "Plain Text" option. Without this I wouldn't be able to post via the tablet, as the standard Android browser will not recognize the Advanced Text Editor fields.

I recently installed Opera Mobile, and that helps a little, but it also won't recognize Advanced Text Editor fields as being "typeable", and so on this forum I can't use the normal "reply to topic" or "New Topic".

Could I suggest that as a workaround that you enable the "Plain Text" option for us Android users in all Editor boxes?

Giant Fiddle Obscuring Part of my iPhone Screen

I frequently read FH on my Android phone. It automatically switches to a mobile view of the site. Which was quite good.

This week, suddenly the Fiddle Icon now obscures the text !!

I'm using an HTC EVO 3D with the stock browser. I tried a second browser and it does the same thing.

Is there a trick to posting LINKS in blog posts??

Here's how to insert a picture into your post using another website image host. (Thanks Woodwiz for showing me how to do this long ago.) 1. Open an account on www.Photobucket.com (it's free, but you have to register). 2. Follow their prompts to upload the .jpg image to photobucket. 3. Click on the "IMG Code" tag underneath photobucket image to copy the URL to your clipboard. [IMG]http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t187/jyellott/PhotobucketImage-1.jpg[/IMG] 4. Go to FHO and write your post. When you are at the point you want to insert your image, press Ctrl-V and this will paste the URL code into your post. 5. There's another way to do this that uses a third-party image host and I'll cover that in a separate post. The first step is to upload images to your FHO Member Homepage (explained in another posting). 1. Select "Reply to Post" or open a "New Topic" 2. When you come to the point where you want to insert an image: a) Open another internet browser window: b) Go to your FiddleHangout Member Homepage, c) Open your photo album that contains the photo you want.to insert 3. Enlarge the image by clicking on it, then right-click on the image and select "Properties" (i.e., left-click on the word Properties).
