Yesterday, I was on the Fiddle Hangout in the morning.... everything was displaying properly. Then, when I went to post a message, first I got a "website not accessible" message (this often happens when the site is shut down for maintenance). Then after a couple of minutes, I could access Fiddle Hangout again, but I had problems with the smiley tool... actually not the first time.... but this time, it hung my browser and my mouse. Then, when I went to the thread, all of a sudden the area around the Avatar was 2/3 of the space allotted for the thread, and the actual messages were crammed into only the remaining 1/3 of the space on the right. At first, I thought it was Mozilla Firefox, but it did it in Opera too (both under Linux Mint). Then I thought maybe it was the version of Linux Mint, so I tried a newer version, and it's still doing it. Has anyone else experienced this since Wednesday AM???

Ummmm.... I figured out what it is.... the code for the location no longer puts breaks in so it just takes one line as long as the location, and forces everything else to the right.

Hmmmm..... I'm pondering the implications of that.....

I have a problem with my emails from fiddlehangout.When I receive mail to let me know that there is a new post for me ,I can only find old posts by the different members on the blog ,such as the Cajun blog.How do I find the newer posts?

Internet Explorer 10 does not work by default

I just upgraded to Internet Explorer 10. I'm on Windows 7 Prof x64.

You can't see your Text when in HTML mode. The HTML Control just has a Grey Background.

Enabling Compatibility View does work.

Why does a post NEVER work the first time?

I was looking at the Players Union, thinking I'd finally join and help a little to support the site. Even though money is still real tight here, I figured to pitch in a little since I got a little end-year bonus from my boss. Figured it's now or in a long while and I really enjoy the hangouts and especially the chat room.

To my surprise the membership without a shirt lists as sold out. I'll keep an eye out for it to be re-stocked and then sign up.

Mobile log in problem

I can't log in from my mobile. (nexus 7)

When I try to log in the page changes to my home page on fiddlehangout, but I am still not logged in.

I can log in from my desktop no problem

Site intermittency

I been accessing Fiddle Forum from the UK for 2 or 3 years. I've always had problems with the site "coming and going" and I think the problem is getting worse. It's the only site I have this problem with.

When I click any link on the site, there's about a 30% chance it'll deliver the next page. The rest of the time, my browser just sits there, seemingly forever and no page ever appears. Just occasionally, I get a "Service Unavailable" message. I typically need to wait a few minutes before trying again. Once it starts working, it'll be OK for a minute ot two, then it goes again.

This affects just about all the links on the site, except for the first page I display (the main forum index). If I want to make a post, I must leave my typed text sitting there, go and do something else, and repeatedly try to submit it. If the submission doesn't work within about 20 seconds, it never will and I have to try again in about 5 minutes.

I'd really apprecite any help to get this fixed!

WHY, does my copy / paste of you tube videos no longer show up in FHO forum highlighted ? They used to but now they no longer do. They do if sent in my emails. Could be my PC setting, but why does it show through my emails but NOT the FHO forum ? Any guru's in here ? Any suggestions appreciated. Thnx.

Here's how to insert a picture into your post using another website image host. (Thanks Woodwiz for showing me how to do this long ago.) 1. Open an account on www.Photobucket.com (it's free, but you have to register). 2. Follow their prompts to upload the .jpg image to photobucket. 3. Click on the "IMG Code" tag underneath photobucket image to copy the URL to your clipboard. [IMG]http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t187/jyellott/PhotobucketImage-1.jpg[/IMG] 4. Go to FHO and write your post. When you are at the point you want to insert your image, press Ctrl-V and this will paste the URL code into your post. 5. To check to see if it all worked, click on the preview button.

Here is a way to insert images in your posts. Note: This method uses images that are in your FHO Member Homepage. There's another way to do this that uses a third-party image host and I'll cover that in a separate post. The first step is to upload images to your FHO Member Homepage (explained in another posting). 1. Select "Reply to Post" or open a "New Topic" 2. When you come to the point where you want to insert an image: a) Open another internet browser window: b) Go to your FiddleHangout Member Homepage, c) Open your photo album that contains the photo you want.to insert 3. Enlarge the image by clicking on it, then right-click on the image and select "Properties" (i.e., left-click on the word Properties). It will bring up a box that look like this: [img]http://www.fiddlehangout.ws/users/photos/medium/1274-1225981112008.jpg[/img] 4. To upload photos to your member homepage. 1. Open your FHO Homepage ----Click on Community, Member Homepages, My Homepage. 2. In the top left corner is a place for you to display a "Profile Photo" ----Click on the word "Photo" in the top right frame of your image (or placeholder). Click on "Upload Photos" (this button looks very much like the last picture). 5. At this point, a screen comes up that lets you select a .jpg file on your computer.
