My second book with 30 more original tunes in an equally eclectic mix to my first book Giblitz Fancy. As usual I have attempted to keep them contradance friendly with most tunes being 32 bars and hot having crooked bits. I use many of these tunes at dances so they are dance floor tested and approved by caller, dancers and bandmates.

For Sale: Giblitz Fancy - $15.00

GIBLITZ FANCY (V7.0) is a collection of 90 tunes I've written mostly on the fiddle. The range of styles include Irish, Old Timey, Klezmer, Eastern European, Mariachi, New England Contra, Bossa, and Swing. The intent is that most be used for Contra Dance so the normal range of jigs and reels are present as well as polkas, hornpipes, waltzes, and swing tunes. The Book also includes airs written to honor friends who've past or moved away. As can be expected in a vanity press I threw in everything I've ever written, but I know there are some real winners in here so it's worth checking out. The price is barely above what it cost me to print them since I do them in small batches.

For Sale: Old-Time Christmas Fiddle Tutorial Available (and I don&#39t mean Jingle Bells!) - $15.00

I recently put together a workshop on old-time fiddle tunes with Christmas associations. I did so on the premise that there was surely something better to play for the season than Jingle Bells or I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus. I ended up teaching four tunes: Isham Monday's Christmas Eve, John Carson's Christmas Time Will Soon Be Over, Tommy Jarrell's Breaking Up Christmas, and French Carpenter's Old Christmas Morning.

Along the way, I made a CD tutorial to accompany the workshop, with each tune played at dance speed, at moderate speed, and broken down into a detailed tutorial with help on bowings, ornaments, etc., along with tune transcriptions for flyspeck readers. If any of you are interested in acquiring same said, please drop me a line.

Again, many thanks indeed. And all the best to all of you for the season,

Lisa Ornstein

Want to buy the old color coded fiddle instructions that were made in the 1980's about 1983. This instructional material was called the "Buddy System" Country Fiddle Course written by Louise Rowe Beasley. The cassette tape and instructions were by Buddy Beasley. I has this back in the '80's and it was an excellent course. Now that my kids want to play I would like to have this to get them started. Thank you, Kelly Mc
