For Sale: Very Nice Silver German Bow Stamped HOMA

This is a very nice bow! It is marked HOMA on one side of the shaft and J.R.S.M. 8702?? GERMANY on the other side (see photos). It has a round 29" stick with silver wrapping and weighs 54 grams. The frog is lined. The tip has been repaired as well as the frog (see photos). Please view all the photographs I have taken to illustrate this bows condition. The latest auction record shows a similar bow with no repairs buy this same maker selling for $375 in May of this year. This bow is priced at only $150 to reflect the repairs that have been done. For Sale: American Strad Copy by Jackson-Guldan

Here we have a 4/4 fiddle made by the Jackson-Guldan Company probably post WWII. The label inside has the Jackson-Guldan insignia, JGVC Made In The USA and then the usual Stradivarius copy wording. The fiddle has a fairly tight-grained spruce top and maple back and sides. It has a clear warm tone that is well balanced, not heavy on the treble or the base just an even medium volume. The finish is a nicely shaded translucent brown. There is an old well repaired crack on the bass side from the top of the F-hole to under the chin rest. There are also some scratches to the finish under and around the bridge (see photos). Questions are welcomed.

**see my eBay listing if you are interested. The link is below in the more info box** Cremona 1220 4/4 violin outfit mislabeled. This is an excellent sounding and looking Cremona full sized violin that is imported by Saga. It is a model 1220 that has all the appointments of the much higher priced 1260 including a SOLID wood back. I took this instrument to a local violinmaker repairman and as best as he can tell it was mislabeled at the factory of by Saga here in the US. It is definitely a better-made instrument than the standard 1220 and look like the more expensive 1260 if for no other reason than it has the solid back instead of a two-piece back. I played this violin maybe 10 times but I would bet less. It is in such good condition that you would swear that it was new. The bow is fin and works well too. It has a beautiful full sound and will only get better with playing. The same violin builder that checked out the violin also set it up and adjusted the sound post so its ready to go when you get it. Comes in its original travellite case and satin bag for added protection. Please see all my photo’s as they do a better job of describing the item than I can.
