This is a modern German bow stamped *Daniel Dörfler* on the handle. It is silver mounted on an ebony frog with an inlaid pearl fleur de Lys and an imitation whalebone winding. Its stick is strong and on the stiffer side, although it doesn’t feel too heavy. Its weight is 62 g. It has hardly been played, so it is in pristine condition. It will come freshly rehaired (I think it still has its original hair currently), cleaned, and lubricated. This is an old German commercial bow from the early 20th century, the kind you’d find in mail-order catalogs, and commonly found with old German violins of the era. It has a Brazilwood stick and is nickel-mounted. The condition is rather good for its vintage and it has been maintained well for decades. It plays very well for an inexpensive bow and has been used by a recording jazz violinist in DC. It is stamped *ARTIST* on the handle as seen in the third photo.

Offering- JonPaul Fusion silver mounted violin bow in nearly new condition. I bought this bow a few short months before the pandemic in 3/20 after which I fundamentally quit playing fiddle. I used this bow in the teaching studio one day a week so effectively it was used about 12 days total. It has been unused for about 5 years.This is a hybrid carbon fiber bow fused with a wood exterior. You can read all about them online. This was one of the first series of silver mounted bows with a 3 piece button. The current models appear to use a solid button to distinguish between the nickel and silver models. It is a very standard Stradivarius copy, I am willing to provide specific dimensions to ensure it fits your instrument. I used this case regularly for about a year and have since started using a 5-string fiddle that doesn't fit the case, so I'd like to move it along to a new owner. Any wear and tear is aesthetic and it still works great. Calton Cases are bomb proof. This would be a great option for a touring musician or if you fly a lot with a valuable instrument. This is an exceptional bow by William Watson, arguably the best of the makers in the W.E. Hill & Sons workshop in its later years. Watson worked there, made many fine bows, and trained others, then went out on his own for the rest of his career. This rare, iconic case is probably the smallest double violin case ever made and it’s a tank, with strength and weight to match. Used with a padded cover for 15 years, so it’s in very nice shape for how old it is. The cover has given up, and I’m not traveling so much, so it’s time to pass this gorgeous item on. Hinges are fine, so are the latches. 4 pockets! 4 Spring bow holders, which are in ok shape. They still hold securely and won't scratch the screws yet, but could use some leather coverings. A case cover is recommended, as the outer covering is now slightly fragile. Fiddles in the photo are not included! But they illustrate how they fit in there. The left-hand side can fit a slightly larger violin, such as a Maggini-style.
