Sound

Fast Old Time and Scottish Tunes.
Bright sound not real loud but still breaking in.
Has good resonance.
Sounds as full as more expensive model three times the price.

Setup

Set up from Eastman as a fiddle.
I would recommend changing the tail piece.
Fine tuners detract form the look and sound.
Comes with a very light bow good for fast tunes but a little weak for long notes.

Appearance

Very pretty back. Front has nice red grain.
Fair finish in the "F" holes few noticeable flaws.
Chin rest wasn't centered.

Reliability

Hardware is pretty basic.
Finish a little thin probably will wear quick.
Sturdy enough not to need a spare.
I would bring a spare bow.

Customer Service

Lifetime Eastman warranty.
Haven't dealt with the company but they have a good reputation.

The tail piece has fine tuners that look a little cheap.

Overall Comments

Great moderately priced fiddle. Advanced fiddle with good sound. After a year of playing it sounds like scottish pipes I love it!
