OTJunky fiddles on Cape Cod with old friends, a vintage Guild D-40, a brand new strum stick, and a sign on the back wall that sums it up.

That strum stick is just a dulcimer of a different color.  The missing frets give it away.  I bet it sounds sweet, hmm, like the name dulcimere suggests.

I agree with the sign.

Yeah - it's a "back-pack dulcimer".  Sara flew up from Florida.

"Strum Stick" is a great name though.

Hmmm.... Guess you have to click on the photo to expand it.

The sign says, "It's a Wonderful Life".

But just to set the record straight, I was in the Air Force while in Washington, D.C. - but I was never in an Air Force band. Just tried to learn some Bluegrass while stationed there since D.C. was a hotbed of Bluegrass activity at the time - Seldom Scene, Country Gentleman, and lots of lesser known but really good players in Virginia and Maryland.
