Bill, a friend recently sent me these photos, so I'm not exactly sure, but around 1980 I think. Chester and Will used to play together as the "Willy Dillys."

Thanks for the info, Doug. I remember the first time that I heard Will on David Holt's Fire on the Mountain show on TNN, playing Sycamore Shoals, I believe? Had a chance to see him at Festival of American Fiddle Tunes in the early 90's, too. Unusual and very impressive style of playing banjo.
