An old "halling" with a special story from a old wedding. The tune has different variations in different parts of the country. I got inspired by "MirthTones" to do this tune. It should have been played on a hardingfiddle to get the right sound and technique because the hardingfiddle has a fare more flat bridge. The tuning is: a, e, a, ciss.

Very nice. I love this tune. I think I first heard it played on a recording of Annborg Lein. I play a few bits of it and tried some of it this morning on my front porch. Maybe one day I'll know more of the parts. Chirps |
