My Instruments:
My main fiddle is a hard used but wonderfully sounding D. Salzard that's about 130 years old, with a one piece back to die for, and appears handmade. My second fiddle is handmade by Gerald Stockdale of Springfield MO in 1960.And I have an early 20th c. German Strad which is plain-plain-plain until you put the bow to her, when she turns into Cinderella at the Ball, with Dark Rich Tone. And I've got a 4th fiddle that's a german trade fiddle, a project I haven't gotten to. I also own a Jackson Guldan and a 3/4 German fiddle, both of which need work, and will probably be fixed and sold eventually.

LOL! I blew the last note something terrible! But the rest of the song is passable, at least for me. I'm dating this so in a few months I can revisit it and have something to compare with. 8-1-08

Okay, so I sound less awful. Look Ma, no squeaks! Well, maybe just one or two . . . better though. This is adapted from the version the Druckenmillers have on their CD, and they attribute their version to Dave Bing.

My friend Suze and I wrote this. She's playing guitar and singing lead, I sing harmonies. I wrote the lyrics, she wrote the music. We had the studio time booked and I came down with bronchitis two days before. So I asked Bill to turn my volume down so you couldn't hear my frog croak voice. And I'm working on a fiddle part for it. This was recorded before I even took up the fiddle.
