I had great fun at the Minnesota State Fair Fiddle Contest yesterday. I am new to the state, and it was fun to hear and meet some of the fiddlers in the area. I've got a short video on youtube with one of my pieces, a Cajun Stomp called "Step it Fast". It's from a tune book by Deb Greenblatt (available at Elderly.com - http://elderly.com/books/items/49-108.htm) It also includes the entire group of contestants entertaining the crowd with "Devil's Dream" whle the judges were deliberating. I was thrilled honored to be awarded fourth place in my division as there were a lot of really great fiddle players at the event.
