I decided I'm going to make it official so I can't back out, I'm going to sign up for the annual fiddle comp in my town! It is next month and I am way excited! last year I had to deal with all the shoulder stuff and did the picking contest. This year I'm geared up and ready to go. Well almost. The hard part is done, I have picked out my three songs, now it's time for the fun part. Practicing and memorizing! Normally with a comp. coming up in only a month I pick songs that I know, but I wanted to play something different and so I am! Sadly I can't practice as much as I would like to, I'm busy getting ready for school to start and I have that dang trigger point in my shoulder that makes it so I have to lessen my practice time to 45 min, every other day. But the music is contently in my head and I find myself fingering the invisible notes that I know. I'm half way there! I have got Half of two of the songs memorized already. I'm glad I'm young and Have been playing music most of my life, it makes memorizing and learning that much easier. I'm so excited for this fiddle comp. and I'm excited to get back to competing again!
