Still sawing

Headed downstate next weekend, going to try to fit a stop into Shar music.  I need a new G string (if I tell my husband that I'm SURE he will stop! lol) I bought a set of D'Addario Heliocore and I broke the G string putting it on....go figure it would have to be the expensive one out of the bunch!  I still have the old string on that came with the original set and whenever I play it, it sounds like I'm running over a rumble strip.

Dogs still aren't thrilled with the sounds I'm making, but now instead of running they pick up a shoe or something and parade it in front of me.  I think they are trying to distract me so I'll quit playing.  Sort of a stupid human come chase the doggie sort of game.

I can pick out a few tunes but they sound very stilted ...one note at a time.  Been watching videos of fiddlers and watching the bowing, they make it all look so easy!

I'll take confirmation of progress and derive compliments out of just about anything though and "it doesn't sound as bad as it used to".  and Hmpf... that's not too awful bad is high praise! lol.
