OK I know it's a knock off but maybe you could help me date it or give some insight on this fiddle,Facibot Anno 1713 on sticker label...I wsa told it was /is around 40 yrs old..number inside is 03-1904-66 any ideas???

Czechoslovakia. Now Czech republic and Slovakia. Czech republic was once Bohemia and Moravia. That area of Europe has gone back and forth between Germany, Hungary and Russia. I can't recall the ac tual time frame when it was united as Czechoslovakia, but it's 20th Century, very short time span. |

I know it's not that old for sure....-1713....I was just wondering if you ar anyone had any wasy to date these things from the n umbers submitted...I would love to know the date even roughly that it was made. It's not a rare or priceless fiddle or anywhere close. It does sound and play pretty good, the neck is shaped nice and wide with a thickness that accomidates my hand well. It doesn't have as much "Bottom End" or "Lows" as I fancy but possibly a set up and adjustment of sound post may correct that . My fiddle guy isn't due back till JUne 11th.....I really appreciate you mudbug and everyone that stops by, takes a gander at the board and sends a reply..God bless you all and I look forward to hearing from you all.You can find some of my fiddling around on youtube..try Tommy Preston and something should pop up..my channel there is MrTommypreston.
