Playing and studying music most of my life. Came to fiddle late, at 41, but worked hard at it. Read music, played in college orchestra, fiddler for song/dance folklore troupe Renaissance Cadienne from Lafayette LA for 8 years. Two tours of France, one of Nova Scotia. Played fest in Berea KY,(greatest place on earth), Florida, all over LA. Mostly record now in home studio, play out when I can. Old rock guitarist
from way back, started piano at 8 or 9, cornet at 11, guitar at 13. One semester at
Berklee in '72, Old Time American,(Missouri too) and Ottawa Valley styles are my metier. Been to Ireland in '98. Loved it . Daddy's folks from near Atlanta, so I'm half Appalachian, I like to say, and there is my heart. The other half of the story, and just as true, is that I'm an American living in Louisiana, and I play fiddle.
