Recently I changed the settings at sites where I post my music from 'streaming only' to 'free download'. Duh, doofus me. Slow on the uptake. Why did it take me so long? Listening to whoopazz full-combo stuff via streaming turns everything into soft pop pablum coming outta tidy distant speakers in the waiting room at the dentist's office. Too tidy, too compressed, too polite. Though my mp3's are compressed, not the full fidelity of the master recordings, they're still hotwired enough to allow listeners the equivalent of blasting cassettes or radio on the car stereo--i.e. yer basic american belly-beat joyride fun stuff--if ya DOWNLOAD 'em.
I mean, I could drop dead tomorrow and what would happen to the THIRTY YEARS of recordings (all kinda genres, approaches, combos) I've got archived here? Hello garbage bin, howdy rummage sale cast off. Phooey on that, get the sounds out there, let em go to whoever likes 'em. Do it Fer Free since I'm a natcheral-born commie anarchist anti-big-biz basic brat. The Record Bizness Is Dead and Good Riddance To Bad Shark Weasel Rubbish!!
So ya want tons of TOTALLY FREE NO OBLIGATION Jane noise? Nema Problema!!
Be my guest, mi sonic casa es su sonic casa:

There's like 40 tracks up now and TONS more to come. Like 5 new tracks arriving daily.
Yer perfectly free and welcome to like em or hate 'em or be indifferent. Who cares? Not me. It's a free world.
So then I realized WHY this new policy tickles me so much: it's the Virtual Version of BUSKING.
Setting out there barenaked on the Information Superhighway letting yer noise be available to anyone who happens to stroll along.
Do it like Woody done did. Do it like minstrels always did it until Dick Clark came along and started selling his Show Biz Toxic Souvenir Snake Oil Hair Tonic and uined everything that was good and simple in God's Creation.
Do it like poet-thief-visionary Villon did, he who cheated the hangmen not once but about 30 times, hollering "I am Jacques Villon and today I might swing from a noose but so what I had a ball, suckers, so good luck with working 50 years just so you can afford a tasteful casket, Idone lived a little and Yippee!"
I have it on good authority (rumors, gossip, hearsay) that Jacques V. said them EXACT words (but in French) before he dropped his bow to his fiddle and played a hoe-down so fierce that it snapped the gallows rope plus it made all the frenchified deputy sheriffs forget all about the lynching bizness and they began to tango while ol' Jacqus made a clean getaway with his posse, hopped aboard a boat to America so's he could go catch Howlin' Wolf tearing up some joint down on Beale Street plus he could hear all them buskers like Furry Lewis and Ed Haley who was fighting the good fight via public tomfoolery on the boulevards of dreamtown, planet earth, 86573.
You think I'm fooling but I'm not.
