A really nice, relatively simple version of Uncle Joe in Marion Thede's "The Fiddle Book", a great collection of Southern tunes published sometime around 1970, still available.

If you're looking for sheet music available online, its in "Ryan's Mammoth Collection," page 57 (in G), and also in Volume 1 of Knauff's "Virginia Reels," which has been discussed here recently (in A). There are three versions in abc notation at the Fiddler's Companion too. Usually listed as Miss M(a)cLeod's Reel.
You can hear the Skillet Lickers play it here: 1001tunes.com/PCvolume01/volume01TUNE.html

It's Hop High Ladies on the Old time jam machine, I think.

The book "The Craig Duncan Master Fiddle Solo Collection" has this tune with 2 additional variations. This book is one of my favorite repertoire books. About 150 tunes with many tunes having several variations. I had this book spiral bound so it would hold up to very heavy use.

The Craig Duncan book doesn't have a CD. Because of copyright problems, most repertoire books do not have
CDs. I go to Youtube and listen to the melody. The notation for this tune usually isn't too difficult.
